Unconventional Smokey Eye

Wanted to play with my new In the Groove goodies (I'm getting Stereo Rose tonight... I know, shut up). Loved the way this turned out but...

I took 45 photos of this and these were the best I could come up with. The Togetherness trio is a MUST HAVE, even though I'm not sure how many combos I could do. The gray in the trio is so beautiful. The lipstick is a bit of a let down. It looked more pink on Temptalia... I'm gonna try a light pink liner underneath. The coloring is uneven :(

I'm also messing about with my brows again. Plucked a stronger arch and evened them out some... something is still off. I don't know what to do with the inner corners.

Quick Gold FOTD

Yeah... so funny story about this. I was using a glitter liner to top this off, and my smart self blinked in the middle of applying, and the applicator went directly into my eye. I should have taken a photo -- I had glitter eyeballs. So that explains the remnants in the corners of my eyes!

I'm not that pleased with this one -- I need to be able to have more time to plan out my colors in the mornings. Had I had more time, I probably would have put down a gold eyeliner base to make the gold stand out more as gold HATES ME.

Do you guys like the new layout? The bf made the banner. The little turtle on the right wasn't supposed to be cut off, but Blogger did that to it and I think it's kinda cute :3 Anyway!

I was in a discussion with talkingtrash / Pigments and Pearls (she's got a blog, clicky!) about Beautiful Iris, Trax and GlamourCheck! all together. I decided to re-do the look this morning with some small changes.

I don't know... it needs something. I wish I had put my Collection 2000 purple glitter liner over top. Maybe that's what it's missing.

Warm Day Browns

I really like how this came out, despite staring at my Bohemian palette for ages going duhhhh?
I think my only issue with it is that there's no shimmery champagne color. I wish they had included that instead of say, that odd skin color in the bottom left or the pollen-esque yellow.

Shameless title, I know, but I had to... it's just too easy.

Here is my entry for the Christina Aguilera challenge on Makeup Geek. I started out not intending to it that way but then I realized how similar it was to her style. Instead of copying a direct photo, I wanted to take inspiration from some of her more daring looks:

Let's just call this a cool tones week

I seem to be obsessed with cool tones this week... I think I'm gonna do a green look tomorrow to break it up. I forgot how beautiful Tilt is! This look is great, it's everything I wanted my last mermaid-esque look to be.

So I was inspired this morning by EdenBue's inspiration of my look... so I was inspired by myself? That sounds so... egotistical! I really loved this look though. Found a few errors in my photos that I corrected -- bit of mascara on my skin (I wonder how I get it there...), and sleepy dust on one of my eyes. Meh.

FOTD: Sunset w/ Strong Crease

My intention for this was for it to be a sunset look... it didn't come out how I wanted really but I still like it. I'm having major issues with either my TFSI, eyeshadows, or brushes. I feel like I can't get vibrant color payoff lately, everything I do is just shimmery with a hint of whatever color I want intending for it to be. I'm gonna give my brushes a good deep cleaning this weekend and see if maybe they're just worn out and need replacing. But in the mean time, it's been awfully frustrating.

I was slightly inspired by Marlena's recent Cherry Coke tutorial, I loved the sharp purple crease. I also realized while trying to do this that I need better brushes... mine just seem to blend the color away no matter what I do.

I also incorporated my To The Beach goodies! Love the lipstick and lipglass :)
