I seem to be obsessed with cool tones this week... I think I'm gonna do a green look tomorrow to break it up. I forgot how beautiful Tilt is! This look is great, it's everything I wanted my last mermaid-esque look to be.
So I was inspired this morning by EdenBue's inspiration of my look... so I was inspired by myself? That sounds so... egotistical! I really loved this look though. Found a few errors in my photos that I corrected -- bit of mascara on my skin (I wonder how I get it there...), and sleepy dust on one of my eyes. Meh.

FOTD: Sunset w/ Strong Crease
My intention for this was for it to be a sunset look... it didn't come out how I wanted really but I still like it. I'm having major issues with either my TFSI, eyeshadows, or brushes. I feel like I can't get vibrant color payoff lately, everything I do is just shimmery with a hint of whatever color I want intending for it to be. I'm gonna give my brushes a good deep cleaning this weekend and see if maybe they're just worn out and need replacing. But in the mean time, it's been awfully frustrating.
I was slightly inspired by Marlena's recent Cherry Coke tutorial, I loved the sharp purple crease. I also realized while trying to do this that I need better brushes... mine just seem to blend the color away no matter what I do.
I also incorporated my To The Beach goodies! Love the lipstick and lipglass :)
Enjoy!

FOTD: Villainous Violet
This reminded me of an evil villain or something... it didn't quite capture on camera but especially when I had this on at night, it was very dark and sultry. I liked it. I wanted to add some teal glitter but that's why I need a sample of Mac's Teal Reflects glitter... lol!
I also tested out a Milani blue lipgloss over Gaga. Quite interesting, the color really only showed on the indoor photos though... this FOTD is a bit pic heavy. I also realized there is a bald spot in one of the closed eye photos. I had to take these shots at the end of the day (no time before work) and I'm having an issue with shadows fading over my TFSI. I tried to touch up... I need a lighted makeup mirror =/.
Tomorrow I will be posting a mini haul for you :)

New glasses and general rants
So I lost my glasses sometime last week. Funny part is, I have no idea where. I had them in my car and then *poof* gone. After searching fervently for them, I finally gave up and ordered new ones. I was feeling some new frames anyway. Here they are:
I like them but I'm not 100% sure. It looks good with my hair down but the second I put it back (which is often how I wear it around the house), the sides stick out too far on my face. Meh. I always have problems finding frames, I have such a small stature.
As a side chat note, I need to do something with my eyebrows again. I hate them. They look awful in photos... not as bad in real life mind you, but the eyeshadow color I'm using looks so red in photos that it clashes horribly. I don't know if it's that my hair looks darker in photos so the eyebrows look too light, or vice versa.
Luckily my boyfriend and I only have about another 6 weeks to go, sans any delays, on the Visa process. I am so stoked for this to be over. I know that people say I will look back in fondness on our nights chatting online and all, and I'm sure I will, but I want to be able to roll down to the beach with him when I want... go shopping with him when I want... but the main issue is that it's putting a lot of stress on us. I've been freaking out over getting all of the Visa forms filed just so, and him finding a job, that I'm practically having nervous breakdowns at work. Because I stress on him, he stresses back at me, we argue... so on.
Thus, that has resulted in me being sort of depressed and I had a minor panic attack in the middle of the night a few nights ago. That's part of the reason I haven't been posting. My allergies are also flaring up again and my eye is so sore and red. I'm getting frustrated at that as well, I can't figure out what's causing it! I'm soaking my contacts in a new solution so hopefully when I can wear them again (once the swelling has gone down), we'll see if it's my old solution causing the reaction.
I've also been not eating properly. I don't get hungry anymore. It's quite odd, I was sort of hungry earlier before lunch but I started eating and that meh feeling set in a few bites later. And now, 8 hours later, you'd think I'd be hungry again but nope... not really. I don't know if it's the stress/depression, which it probably is, or something else.
Anyway. This was just a random post. I haven't sold anything from my blog sale, grrr! I've had some requests but no one responds to the return email I send them.
Blergh. Gonna stop rambling now. Thanks for reading :)

Quick Ben Nye swatch post
*Squeak*
Got a few Ben Nye items... I was good. I don't have a lot of spare money at the moment as I had to lend money to my boyfriend for visa application stuff, and we've got another £350 filing fee to pay within a month (that's like $550 for anyone that doesn't know the exchange rate).
I wanted to go for some of their brighter colors, but to be honest, I was being crowded at the store and was a bit uncomfortable. The only local retailer that sells this brand is a small vintage/costume shop that I've visited quite a few times. It threw me off because I usually get left alone in there. Instead, the owner brought a big black board out with all of the eye products secured to it, set it on the counter and proceeded to hover while I tested colors with a Q-Tip. On top of that, there were 3 other girls behind that same counter hovering. Very uncomfortable. I like testing makeup in peace.
So I picked up the Gold pearl sheen eyeshadow (I think that's what they're called). I got this instead of Aztec Gold... AG was a bit bronzey and less foiley on me. I wanted it to work, but it was $3 more and I liked this one better. From the Lumiere line, I picked up Ice and Turquoise. Ice is a very shimmery white, which I think will satisfy my need for a good white. Turquoise is my long lost lover that I've been searching for.
I will do a look incorporating these sometime in the next few days... I was thinking I'd get more, but meh. I also need to do my Morgana Minerals post tomorrow.
Excuse the crappy hand swatch... I had stuff all over my left hand so my right hand was the only free space I had, and I'm obviously right handed =P.
Enjoy!

I'm stopping by a local costume shop, who I found carries Ben Nye, this afternoon! So excited.

Horrible, horrible photos of this. Very pretty in person though... I couldn't get macro to be my friend that day. Also had a bit of fallout under my right eye that I couldn't see until I took the photos. I need my roll of scotch tape in my makeup case back :(

FOTD: Day Four (Bohemian Metallics)
Yaaaay! I'm on day four and still chugging along. We'll see what happens when the weekend hits.
I'm still baffled by the Bohemian palette. I don't know if the colors intimidate me or what. I love them all but I open it up to use it and stare at it like a Rubik's cube. Really.
I like today's look, though I wish Bohemian had a metallic gold in it instead of that pollenesque yellow...

FOTD: Day Three (Dramatic Dinosaurs)
This is by far my most dramatic look to date... I have no idea where this came from, just popped into my head last night.
I wish I could find a more opaque matte white... it's not quite as white as I wanted it, and the liner is a bit wonky. I ended up doing this look two ways -- double liner for photos and then I wiped the double bit off for work (it was a bit much as I had to wear glasses today... again)
I'll post photos of it both ways -- which do you like more?
Oh and it reminds me of dinosaurs. Don't ask.

FOTD: Day One
I will be doing a daily post of my FOTD for the 7 days... I will do this... I will do this... just gotta keep telling myself that! Next up will be a week of Morgana Minerals.
For this week, expect a lot of Bohemian and Acid palette looks.
For today's (technically yesterday's look), I was inspired by Eden Bue's use of Petrol Black from Barry M. I tried to use it a few days ago and looked like I got punched in the eye... this time, it came out beautiful!

Update from the past few weeks (PICS)
My boyfriend was here for a little over two weeks and is now waiting in Charlotte to go home. I miss him already :(
I meant to do a lot more FOTDs to post but I just didn't have time. I used my new Acid and Bohemian palettes quite a bit but usually forgot to photo it afterwards. Sucks because there were some amazing looks. At least I got some photos with my boyfriend so you can sort of see my makeup at a few points.
So this is sort of a hodge podge post of makeup pics and a few other non-makeup pics. I'll get back into posting over the next week and will be focusing on my new makeup items.
First off, ignore my disgusting eyebrows in a few shots, I lost my tweezers for like 4 days... my razor as well, which I've now found. Second, in a few shots, my eyes are really red... I'm still battling allergies!
Hope you enjoy the pics!
As a side note... one of my nails broke clear off. Not even kidding. I apparently damaged it heavier than I thought around Christmas (no idea how) and a bruise turned into a ridge, which turned into losing an entire nail. Luckily there is a new one underneath albeit thin and not attractive looking. I am so upset. Summer is starting and I can't wear flip flops until this heals :(.
