Wet n Wild Earth Looks Small From Down Here Review + FOTD

Next up...!

The trio from Wet n Wild's Dream Weaver's collection called Earth Looks Small From Down Here. Same info applies as in my Dancing in the Clouds post. These retail for $2.99 but the collection has been hard to find, to say the least!

Top photo is natural light and the bottom is flash.

The first shade on the left ('browbone') is a metallic, dirty gold leaning towards olive. This shade is insanely soft and pigmented.

The middle shade ('crease') is a slight bit harder than 'browbone' and thus less pigmented, but it shows up true to its color in the pan, which is rare for a metallic blue (they usually turn black!)

The shade on the right ('eyelid') is a satin medium grass green. There is shimmer but it's not metallic like the other shades. This is decently pigmented but it's a little powdery so it has some fallout issues.

I think this palette may actually be my favorite of the three I got. The colors are quite intense so if you are looking for softer shades, this isn't for you. I was amazed at how the deep blue performed. I tend to have issues with pigmentation on most blues in that shade range, and this one was pigmented in one layer and had a lovely metallic finish. Overall, I would recommend this one if you can find it and are wanting to have a play with some intense shades. I think this would look fabulous on hazel eyes too. (Would enhance them!)

I was going out shopping and errand running yesterday when I did this look and I really like how it came out! I used the 'browbone' shade on the lid, the 'eyelid' shade all through my crease, and the 'crease' shade to darken the crease. Not sure how the olive would look as a browbone shade, to be honest!

  2. Such a lovely trio, and I love the look you created, but I agree that the olive shade wouldn't make a good brow highlight.

  10. Ohhhh I want this one! I think I'd skip using the 'brownbone' shade on the browbone though :) Your look is really pretty, I like where you put the colors.

  11. Love the browbone shade but agree with you there, more of a lid/crease shade

  13. Although my eyes were initially drawn to the brighter palettes, this one is also one of my favourites (well, from staring online anyway :P) because the colours coordinate so well and they're just so purrty! Love ze blue liner and olive lid ^___^

  15. What a classy look! I love your style of makeup, you can take bright colours and blend them into something really pretty and sophisticated. If I got my hands on this palette, I'd probably have an olive browbone on top of a colourblocked hot mess, lol!
