FOTD: Darling Ghoul Halloween (fail)

Can I rage out and say how much I hate this look? Is that unprofessional? Sigh.

It's so bad that you don't even get an eyes open full face shot, and you get my closed eye grump face instead. It's not that the look is bad in person, per se, it's that my camera screwed it up completely! It looks like I have a bald spot in the eyeshadow that doesn't actually exist, the colors are dull and not as vibrant as they are in person... I could go on. Anyway, aside from needing a new camera, I forgot to bring one of the Halloween balms with me so had to use something random from my bag. Wendy not happy.

Oh well, maybe you'll enjoy it?

  1. I know what you mean about the colours never appearing as bright as in real life? Have you tried the 'macro' option on your camera, the little flower? May help.
I love those colours anyway! xxx

  2. @Amii: Yes, I use macro for all of my shots now :). The problem is my flash has no diffuser or anything, so I think it's overexposing the shots. The colors are also super shimmery so it makes them appear lighter, so annoying! I'm getting a new camera soon so hopefully I'll have better photos. Thanks :)

  3. Even if you think it is a fail camera-photo-wise, I will just say these pictures that you did post aren't awful, and also that since I have the shadows myself, I *know* it looks gorgeous in person!!!

  4. Not a fail! I love this look! But I completely understand how you feel. We all have looks that don't meet our expectations, but other people still think they look fine!

  5. I actually really love this look. :P Not a fail at all. I do however get your frustration in not having the pic's show the true colors.

  6. Well I really like it, especially the lips! But I feel your pain, I'm pretty sure my camera is slowly dying.

  7. I really don't know why you think this is a fail, it looks really nice to me! The lips are so pretty. Stupid dying camera. I like your top :)
