FOTD: Camera, You SUCK

Yeah, as the title states, I couldn't get pictures of this at all! In the photos, the Inglot shade looks like a rusty brown when in actuality, it's a peachy pink duochrome. Suck camera sucks.

Oh well, I still post my 'fails' for you guys anyway! It wasn't so much a fail in person, I actually thought it was quite pretty. The farther away, full face shots are more color accurate. I also wasn't a fan of the lip stain I used, it got returned :(. I'm sorry, NYC, but that isn't coral!

My camera batteries are on their last legs... in fact, my camera said they were dead yesterday and I managed to snap 4 shots today of my FOTD and lips for this post! I had on a really nice orange lippie yesterday but couldn't get photos before the camera would shut off. I'll re-wear it or something really soon and make it post #7 :-)

I'm a bit sleepy this morning and thus a little puffy, so excuse that!

A word on the lippie itself... this is another shade of those NYC Lip Stains. I nabbed it last night after returning the CoverGirl NatureLuxe Foundation. This didn't pool in my lips like the wine shade did, but it's been a few days so that damaged area may have healed. This one also doesn't feel as dry as the wine shade did... BUT, it did have some pigmentation issues. I've never used a red stain before so I basically put a light layer down that looked a bit blotchy and uneven, and then went for a heavier application to get the color payoff you see in the photos. It took a bit of work but wanna know why it's worth it? I kissed my husband on the lips this morning when I dropped him off for work and none of the stain transferred! He had a little gloss on his lower lip but that was it; it came right off.

The color itself appeared to be orangey red when I swatched it but I think once applied, it's more neutral. It didn't make my teeth look yellow, it brightened them slightly so I don't think it's orange-based. It's a bit tomato-ey like at the same time... quite pretty.

Overall, definitely impressed and this is going with me to England!
