PINK

Yep. It's pink!

It looks a bit weird in the lighting here, but it's exactly what I wanted. I didn't want vibrant and crazy but instead a more subdued pink that would fade nicely. I do have to touch up a few sections this weekend as some areas got lighter than others, so the dye needed to be left on longer in some parts. I managed to fix the front bits (the front most layers) that refused to dye with a couple of foils and about 15 minutes of dye sitting on them, so that was a test for the rest of it. The color is just Manic Panic's Cotton Candy Pink over slightly gingery blonde hair.

What do you think? Would you rock the ombre hair style?

  2. I've always thought about dyeing my hair a bright color but I've been a wuss about doing it! I do like the gradient from dark to pink though on you :)

  3. I think you look much classier with your brown hair. Some people can pull off punky colors and some can't. Not a diss, just the style you portray doesn't make this work.

  4. Wow, some people are rude! I love this - I really like muted colours with the whole ombre thing, I think it looks really grungy and awesome.

  6. Woooo it looks awesome! I was toying with the idea of ombre hair after I met this girl with teal ends, but then I quickly realised my hair wasn't long enough so it'd look weird XD

And wtf @ that rude comment. It's your fucking style, do what you want! Plus style and identity is fluid, so fuck that noise.

  7. @Peace: Sorry you feel that way, guess we'll agree to disagree :). In the mean time, I have plenty of other blog posts that contain my classy brown hair.

  8. @Peace: Her hair very much suits her style. this color isn't so much punky as more subdued.
Due to the nature of her job she can't really go for the super-bright vivid colors that she really wants.
Overall this works as a nice compromise - I am certainly a fan.

I agree with a couple touch-up areas- but otherwise, I think it's pretty work safe while still being classy, cute and FUN!

  15. Awesome!!! I used to do dyed tips in my hair back in the day, it was less of an ombre thing than it was a very sharp line between both hair colours.
