I did this in celebration of my boyfriend being here... TOMORROW.
Yes, I said it! Tomorrow! We had him on for Friday but some seats opened up so we jumped on it. He's on his way to the airport right now!
This looks awesome in person, I must say... as usual macro picks up every imperfection.

Glasses FOTD
Due to the weirdness of my left eye at the moment, I decided to try and do something cute with my eye makeup under my glasses for once, and also make my lips the focus.
I didn't do much on the eyes, just a skin toned matte eyeshadow with a gradient effect liner. I think it was UD's Flipside with Peace over top, then a random dark blue liner from Merle Norman with Mac Deep Truth over it, and last it was a purple Almay liner with UD Ransom on top.
For lips, I used Wet 'n Wild lipstick #521A (Show Orchid dupe) with NYX's gloss in African Queen on top.

I'm literally jumping out of my chair
NATS says that there is a good chance that the UK airspace will fully reopen tomorrow afternoon or evening... even if it's not exactly then, everything should be ok by Friday!! I am so excited.

Bluesy Saturday
I used Mac Tilt, Ulta Mosaic, UD Peace, Mac Deep Truth, random silvery blue from L'Oreal HIP duo and Mac White Frost on my eyes, along with UD Zero liner and Collection 2000 glitter liner in Hustle. Mascara was Rimmel's Sexy Curves. For cheeks, I used Mac MSF in Petticoat. Last, for the lips, I used Mac Viva Glam Gaga with Perky lipglass over top.
This looks really good in person... I couldn't quite get the camera to capture it properly.

Boring Browns =P
Decided to do browns today to match my dress that I wore.
This was UD Sin, UD Chopper, Mac GlamourCheck!, and UD Smog on the eyes with Sephora's glitter brown liner and a bit of UD Last Call on the bottom lash line with Smog. For lips it was Cover Girl's TruShine in Fire Shine and Mac's lipglass in Nice Mix Up over top.

Random FOTD
Yeah... didn't get enough pictures of that day. This was Thursday's... you can see the stress in my eyes, literally. Look at them! Bloodshot.
Don't remember what I used... it was the baby blue Barry M dazzledust, Collection 2000 e/s in Enchanted, Urban Decay's Fishnet (I think) and UD Ransom as liner. On the lips I think it was Maybelline's Pink Please with NYX's La-La gloss over top.

Delays :(
The bf's flight got cancelled out of Gatwick due to the cloud of death apparently floating overhead fresh out of Iceland.
He should be here Saturday afternoon, pending any further cancellations.
That means no Bohemian/Acid looks until later in the week :(
Sadness. It's been 3 months... what's another day huh?

CoverGirl CG Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer
Another quickie review!
I have to admit that I was developing a slight problem... an addiction to my Studio Fix powder.
I would be doing a quick 5-minute, out the door look, and would say to myself "Don't reach for the powder..." and I would anyway. And 5 minutes later, I'm completing my application of my Studio Fix powder, and then I kick myself because I said I wouldn't wear foundation today.
I'm trying to ween myself because I have decent skin -- albeit my slight rosacea and the fact that I get heat rash on my cheeks very easily. It's miles better than it was even a few months ago.
If you saw my review on the Clinique Sheer Moisture Tint -- you saw that I gave into my addiction and reached for my powder anyway. It's a little scary and I think it's slightly compulsive. The coverage just wasn't there and it actually made me look greasy, which on my dry skin is hard to do.
I picked up the CoverGirl TM last night at Target for a mere $6.29... and couldn't be happier.
I got it in the shade fair to light and it's pretty perfect for me. Before putting it on my face, I rubbed a bit into my hand and got sort of scared that it was too light. However, once I put it on my face, it was great. Pretty much a perfect match.
This has a nice, even coverage for a tinted moisturizer. Definitely light coverage. It evens out my skin without making it look like I have makeup on, which is the sort of look I love. Also, no dewiness! No oilyness! I look nice and matte. I don't notice a smell or anything (like the horrible Clinique stuff...) and really can't find a negative about this. It has an spf of 15, which is great, and I combine it with my Redness Solutions base, which is an additional spf15.
I'll definitely be wearing this to Kings Dominion on Sunday... and won't have to worry about sweating powder! Yay!
I thought I would want to reach for my SF, and today I can honestly say that I used a little to set my undereye concealer and around my nose... and that's it.
It feels good. This product is definitely worth the $6!

NOTW(eekend)
:)
EDIT: Why do my photos look so crappy! My nails don't look this bad in person... jesus.
- Red: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Cherry Red"
- Orange: Icing "Peel Me An Orange"
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "VIP Pink"
I sort of like this?
I don't think the pink matches... but I don't have a pink creme.

(To Be) Haul
Oh my god. I just got a phone call from my boyfriend...
He just spent £40 in makeup. At Superdrug. I am so fracking happy but I'm also thinking "I have a problem... yeah...".
><;;;
So what did he get? THAT'S what I'm stoked about.
- Sleek Bohemian Palette
- Sleek Acid Palette (he said it was just hanging out on the shelf)
- Barry M dazzledusts in Mushroom, Petrol Black, Lilac and Pink Gold
- Gosh Darling lipstick
- Gosh nailpolish in Rainbow
- Collection 2000 glitter liner in Shake It Up
I was dancing and squealing when he called. I thought I'd have to buy the Acid palette on eBay. I'm now thinking that I definitely have a problem... because when he said he'd be home in an hour or so, I was like yeah! Get online so I can see my new stuff! ... and you.

Clinique Sheer Moisture Tint
Just a quickie review...
Gave this sample a go this morning. I was given "light" and told that it would match me well.
I normally like Clinique products, but this -- this I was not impressed with. I have pretty dry skin and after applying this, it made my face shiny and oily. It wasn't attractive. It also really did nothing in the way of coverage, even for a tinted moisturizer. I ended up having to apply my Mac Studio Fix powder over top to try and mattify my face.
Also, the color was too dark for me. The powder lightened it up but I feel like it's oxidizing on me (checking it in the mirror every hour or so). For reference, I'm NC20-25 in Mac.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I also felt like it highlighted my undereye circles! Maybe they're just particularly bad this morning but after I applied it, I felt like they were glaring out at me in the mirror.
Last thing I didn't like -- the smell. It smells like band-aids :(
I'm sort of disappointed. I'm glad that this was only a sample, I have enough for 3-4 more days use and I think I'll use it up and move on. Maybe CoverGirl's tinted moisturizer? What do you ladies think?
